I've searched for help on this and can't seem to detect any.
Problem: Motorola Razr is stuck on the red thou logo, merely I cannot kick into the boot menu to flash via RSD or annihilation. The logo is offset to the left a little and has a modest 1-2 pixel high rainbow of colors across the lesser. When trying to kicking into the menu with power and vol + & - it simply boots without a logo only still the small bar of colors.
Probable crusade: Telephone'due south screen wasn't turning on and the phone wouldn't turn off so I did the reset with vol upward and ability while the phone was still probably on. Before when my telephone's push button wasn't responsive i used that to reset it and it had worked.
Info on telephone and rom:
Rom - Rage rom 2.2 upgraded from 2.1 (worked for the by two months fine)
Phones base version: 98.72.16 (the apr JB release) flashed via droid razr utility
Safestrap version 3.11
What I've tried: was going to try rsd flashing only i can't achieve the boot menu.
Basic summary: Stuck on M logo and can't get into kick menu or safestrap, subsequently holding vol upwards + power while telephone was on.

For flashing via rsd lite ya need to switch off ya mobile and then press both volume down and book upwards at same time and press power button and so.
It ll take ya into the bootloader and so using power down come till tertiary option ap fastboot and then press power up to select that now connect ya phone to pc and then flash the fastboot using rsd calorie-free
Edit : brand certain ya have installed appropriate drivers to get recognise ya phone by rsd calorie-free
Thank you!!
Please hit the thanks push if i helped ya in anyways !!!

Ya can't use kick manager and cwm recovery both . If ya want to use cwm ya demand to remove all the files of bmm . Its just soft bricked not hard bricked then no need to worry just wink the advisable fastboot file using rsd light to go dorsum to stock
Thats information technology
Edit : i think ya know the flashing method
Thanks!!

Thanks for trying only I tried post-obit your instructions to get into fast boot and the screen just goes dark. Besides when plugging into my PC it pops up on windows' cease saying that a USB device has malfunctioned. I recollect I may but become it replaced under warranty unless sometime soon I find out theres a new fashion to set information technology. But yeah it seems its too difficult to tell if I'm actually in fastboot or if its even getting there properly.
Thanks!

Hi guys,
Since my Motorola Razr i phone is a company phone where I receive my corporate emails, I wasn't immune to root the phone whatsoever.
My phone got stuck on the Red Motorola logo under normal usage. One day I turned it off and when I turned it back on, I had this problem.
How I solved it:
1) Downloaded and installed RSD Lite 6.one.4 which worked on Windows eight.ane. Ensure all drivers are installed and that nothing is undetected in Device Director. #important
ii) I am based in Germany and I had the Vodafone Retail (EU) version. And then I downloaded "CFC_9.8.2I-50_SMI-26_S7_USASMIJBRTEU.xml.nothing" from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=xiii. This corresponds to Android iv.1.ii Retail Europe.
3) I booted the phone in Fastboot (Ability + Vol down; later restart and little vibrate, release ability, continue finger on Vol down.)
4) The phone was detected in RSD Lite. I chose the zip file, unpacked and flashed.
5) Done. Phone was fresh. No warranty was void, nada was rooted. All skilful.
Hope that helps somebody out there!
Cheers,
Shailen.

Is there another way to become the stock images flashed on there? ---------- Post added at 10:09 PM ---------- Previous mail service was at 09:36 PM ----------
I've got the same issue. Took the OTA (was on stock OTA, rooted). Non, nothing but moto-logo with the only working option beingness AP Fastboot. Tried script utility to bring back to 4.ane.2, but information technology fails on writing organization and kicking (preflash validation failed FAILED (remote failure)).Is in that location another style to get the stock images flashed on at that place?
Well, with RSDLite 6.ane.six and the most recent build from droid-developers . org I'g dorsum in performance. Old version, wiped out, simply at to the lowest degree I can make/receive phone calls.

I know this is a old thread, only if some ane else falls here just similar me, I had a problem with my XT925 too, and figured out that my only selection was to flash information technology up.
My phone was stuck in the ruby motorola logo, and it doesn't even tried to load the android.
After reading a lot of information and tried EVERYTHING, I fall here, and the comment of @shailentj saved my telephone!
So I basically followed the steps that @shailentj posted in this very thread, with some differences.
1 - His link goes directly to Motorola RAZR i (XT890), only if y'all access ' sbf.droid-developers.org ' (I can't mail links yet) you will be able to detect your own model, which in my case was Razr HD (XT925).
two - Extracted the whole firmware package (.zip file) and edited the .xml file, removing the "getvar" line. If you don't know what or how to do this, is just remove the line where you find the text "getvar". If you take problem, simply google information technology, there is a lot of information.
And finally, the reason I'chiliad here. I found a way to don't delete USER Information! My phone stuck, and I did't have any backup of my contacts (that is a lot of numbers) nor my files (photos, movies).
So I showtime to read the .xml file, and notice a step "userdata", with operation "erase". This line says to erase the user'due south information sectionalization, and in most cases, we don't want that.
And so, merely remove the line in the xml written: " <step operation="erase" sectionalisation="userdata"/> ", and your files (may) not exist erased!
4 - I outset to wink, and then I got the infamous bulletin "sistem_signature" failed. The solution was but download the last RSD I found (which in my case was 6.1.6).
v - My phone restarts, with everything working slap-up, organisation restored and ALL MY FILES AND CONTACT NUMBERS were at that place!
So very give thanks you @shailentj, your mail really helped me a lot!
And yes, you can flash your phone without lose any contacts or photos!
At present go, and spread the word!
